Marketing
Part of this is first hand knowledge. Part is a leap of faith.
Drew McLellen is the factual part. Drew is a marketing and branding aficionado. His book of late is Random Acts This I know to be true.
John Grant is the (educated) leap of faith. His recent book, The Green Marketing Manifesto , connects the two. I'm still reading it so I'll hopefully remember to check back in on it when I'm done. So far, so very good.
Gents, do you know each other yet?
What really hits home with me on this is that you can connect responsibly and effectively with your marketing constituency, in a real manner, being conscientious, not conceitedly. Both these guys are knowledge and experience heavy - so they're worth paying attention to.
